Home Office Weekly Updates

2nd- 8th May 2022

Once again the Ukraine crisis impact on UK immigration policy was at the forefront of Home Office updates. In addition to details on the Ukraine Family Scheme and Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme visa data we had new guidance on businesses offering work to Ukrainians.

The most interesting policy document released was the government proposals on supporting male victims of domestic abuse. Whilst accepting it existed the paper appeared to discuss. The second was guidance related on forced marriages. The third relating to Clare’s Law or domestic violence disclosure scheme will, the Home Office believes lead to faster disclosure of violent partners

The government appointed Angela Mclaren as Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) of the Fraud and Cyber Crime Reporting and Analysis System (FCCRAS)

Steven Woolfe

He strongly believes his background and route through life enables him to understand both the needs of communities affected by immigration and the life of immigrants who have settled in the UK. He passionately believe Britain is not a racist nation, but a fair one where all can live but policies need to address the inequities in society and the impacts of immigration both positive and negative.
